Privacy policy

Effective date: October 27, 2026

What changed on October 27, 2026: our pages now keep a random visitor code in your browser, so we can tell when a browser comes back, and we group the pages of one visit together. When you visit the site explains what we record and how to stop it.

In short

  • We don’t set cookies. Our own script keeps a random visitor code in your browser’s local storage so we can tell when a browser comes back, as explained below. Our host may set one security cookie.
  • We don’t use advertising trackers, session-replay tools or analytics from other companies.
  • We record the pages viewed on each visit and clicks on some buttons. These records don’t include your name, email address or IP address.
  • If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, our pages send nothing and make no code.
  • We don’t ask for health information. There are no patient forms on this site.
  • We don’t sell personal information or share it for advertising.
  • Dentist profiles use public information. A dentist can ask us to correct or remove theirs, as explained below.

Who we are

This site, vwellny.com, is a directory of dental clinics with general guides to dental care. It is run by Vwellny. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean Vwellny. You can reach us at contactvwellny@gmail.com.

This policy covers this site and emails you send us. It doesn’t cover clinic websites or your calls with clinics. When you contact a clinic, the clinic’s own privacy policy applies.

When you visit the site

We don’t use cookies, advertising pixels, session-replay or heatmap tools, or analytics services from other companies. To see which pages people use, how they find the site and whether they come back, a small script of our own sends short records to our own server.

The codes kept in your browser

The script keeps two codes in your browser’s local storage, a small storage area kept for this site. They aren’t cookies. Each is a string of random letters and numbers that says nothing about you.

  • A visitor code. It is made on your first visit and stays until you clear it. When the same browser comes back, it lets us see that this is a returning browser, how many visits it has made and when it first came. Every tab in that browser shares it. Another browser or device gets a different code.
  • A session code for the current visit. It groups the pages and clicks of one visit, in order. A visit ends after 30 minutes without a page view or a tracked click, and the next visit gets a new session code.

What the records contain

Each time you open a page, and each time you click one of the buttons we track, the script sends a record with:

  • the visitor code and the session code, and where the page view or click comes in the visit (first, second...);
  • the address and title of the page, without any extra parameters in the address;
  • the date and time;
  • the address of the site that linked you to us, if any, without the page you came from (for example, https://www.google.com);
  • whether you came to the page from another site or straight to it, rather than from another of our pages;
  • campaign tags in the link you followed, if any (for example, utm_source);
  • for a click, which button it was (a clinic’s call, website, directions or WhatsApp button, or a button in one of our guides), the button’s text and the address it leads to, without any parameters;
  • your device type (mobile, tablet or desktop), worked out from your browser’s details;
  • your country, which our host Cloudflare works out from your IP address.

We don’t store your IP address or your browser details. Cloudflare also tells our server which US state you seem to be in. We use that only for the Washington and Nevada rule below, and we don’t store it.

Because of the visitor code, these records show how one browser used the site over time: for example, that it came back three times and which pages it viewed each time. They don’t show who you are. We don’t add your name, your email address or anything you send us to them. We use them to understand how the site is used and to improve it, and we delete them after 25 months.

If you are in Washington or Nevada

When Cloudflare places your connection in Washington or Nevada, our server throws the visitor code away before it saves anything. The pages and clicks of each visit are still grouped by the session code, but your visits aren’t linked to each other, so we can’t tell that you came back. Your browser still holds the code until you clear it; we don’t save it for visits from those states.

Do Not Track, Global Privacy Control and clearing the codes

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, the script stops before doing anything: it sends nothing, and it doesn’t make or read either code. If you turn the signal on after visiting us, codes already in your browser stay there unused until you clear them.

To remove the codes, clear this site’s data in your browser’s settings (often listed as cookies and site data for vwellny.com). Your next visit then gets a new visitor code that isn’t linked to the old one. Private or incognito windows delete the codes when you close them, and some browsers delete them on their own after a while.

Our host

Cloudflare, our host, also handles your IP address and browser details to deliver pages and protect the site from attacks. If Cloudflare’s security systems need to check that a visitor is a person, Cloudflare may set a security cookie for that purpose only.

When a clinic applies

Dentists and clinic staff can apply to list a clinic on our For clinics page. The form collects:

  • the clinic’s name, country, state, province or region, city and website;
  • your name, your role at the clinic, your email address and your phone number;
  • a dentist’s license number and the authority that issued it, if you give them;
  • photos of the clinic’s dentists, each with the dentist’s name, if you add them;
  • the listing option you’re interested in, and your message, if you write one.

We use these details to review the application, check the license with the licensing authority, reply to you and, if the clinic joins, set up its profile and billing.

When you add dentist photos, you confirm that the practice owns them or has permission to use them, and that each dentist shown agrees. We store them privately with our database provider. If the clinic joins Vwellny, we show them on its profile, in search results and in link previews. If it doesn’t, we never publish them.

We keep application details, including photos, for 24 months, then delete them. If the clinic joins, we keep what we need to run its profile while it is listed, and billing records for as long as tax law requires.

Information about dentists

Dentist and clinic profiles are public by design: they help patients find and contact a dentist. Profiles of practices that have joined Vwellny show the details the practice approved. Other profiles are built from public sources: the practice’s own website, its public business listing, and the public register of the authority that licensed the dentist.

From these sources we show the practice’s name, address, phone number and website, and each dentist’s name, title, degrees, years in practice and photo, plus the place where the dentist is licensed when the public register confirms it. We use this information because we have a legitimate interest in helping patients compare dentists, and dentists have an interest in being found. We keep it while the profile is listed.

A dentist or practice can ask us at any time to correct the information, update it or remove the profile by emailing contactvwellny@gmail.com. We act on these requests promptly.

When you email us

We use what you send us to answer you, fix mistakes and handle complaints. We keep emails while we deal with them, and after that only as long as we need a record of the correction or complaint.

Please don’t send us health information or details about your treatment. If you do, we use it only to reply to you and delete what we don’t need.

Health information

We don’t ask for health information. There are no patient forms, accounts or bookings on this site. You contact clinics directly, by phone or through their own websites, and we don’t receive what you tell them.

Our visit records do show which pages a browser viewed, and some of our pages are guides to treatments. We use the records only to see how the site is used, never to guess anything about anyone’s health, and they don’t include your name or contact details. For visitors in Washington and Nevada we don’t save a visitor code at all (see above).

Who we share information with

We use service providers who process information for us, under our instructions:

  • Cloudflare, which hosts the site, delivers pages and protects it from attacks;
  • Supabase, which hosts the database where we store visit records (page views and clicks) and clinic applications, including any photos sent with them;
  • the company that hosts our email.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights or safety of our visitors, clinics or ourselves.

We don’t sell personal information. We don’t share it for targeted or cross-context behavioral advertising, and we don’t share it with other companies for their own marketing. We don’t let other companies collect information about your activity on our site for their own purposes.

Our service providers may process information in the US and other countries. When they do, we rely on safeguards the law recognizes, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses. Email us for details.

Security

We limit who can access the information we hold, and the site uses encrypted connections (HTTPS). No system is completely secure, so we can’t promise that information will never be exposed. If a breach affects you, we will tell you as the law requires.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you. Email contactvwellny@gmail.com. We may need to confirm that the request comes from you, for example by replying to the address we have on file. We answer within the time the law sets: 45 days at most under most US state laws, and one month under the GDPR and UK GDPR. We won’t treat you differently for using your rights.

Our visit records aren’t filed under your name, so we can’t find yours from your name or email address. To have them deleted, send us your visitor code: in your browser’s developer tools, open the local storage for vwellny.com and copy the value named vw:vid. We will delete every record with that code. Clearing this site’s data, as described above, also stops new visits from being linked to old ones.

If you live in a US state with a privacy law

Several states give their residents rights over their personal information. Depending on your state, these include the right to know what we collect, to get a copy, to correct it, to delete it and to opt out of its sale, of targeted advertising and of profiling.

  • We don’t sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, use it for targeted advertising or use it for profiling. If you send us an opt-out request anyway, we will record it.
  • We treat a Global Privacy Control signal as a request to opt out of sale and sharing. When your browser sends it, our pages don’t send any page-view or click records and don’t make or read a visitor code.
  • You can make a request yourself or through an authorized agent.
  • If we turn down your request, you can appeal by replying to our answer. If you disagree with the outcome of your appeal, you can contact your state attorney general.

If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom

You have rights under the GDPR and UK GDPR: to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, and receive a copy in a portable format. To use them, email contactvwellny@gmail.com.

We rely on our legitimate interests to record visits, keep the site secure and answer emails. We process clinic applications to take steps you ask for before a contract, and we keep billing records to meet legal duties. You can also complain to your data protection authority.

Children

This site is for adults. It isn’t directed to anyone under 18, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from children. If you think a child has sent us personal information, email us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and its effective date first. If the change is significant, we will say so at the start of this page.
