Our aim

We want everyone to be able to use Vwellny, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, voice control or screen magnification. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.

What we have done

  • Pages use headings, lists and landmarks in a logical order, so screen readers can move around them.
  • A “Skip to content” link lets keyboard users go straight to the main content.
  • Everything works with a keyboard, and the item in focus has a clear outline.
  • Text colors meet the WCAG AA contrast ratios. Decorative colors are never used for text.
  • Main buttons are at least 44 pixels tall, so they are easier to tap.
  • Form fields have visible labels. Errors are described in words next to the field and in a summary above the form.
  • Body text uses Atkinson Hyperlegible, a typeface designed for readers with low vision.
  • Pages adapt to small screens and to text zoom, and respect the “reduce motion” setting.
  • We don’t use accessibility overlay widgets.

Known limitations

  • We haven’t yet had an independent accessibility audit.
  • Clinic profile text comes from clinics, or from public information such as the practice’s own website. We review it before it goes live, but problems can slip through. Tell us if you find one.
  • We don’t run clinic websites or other sites we link to, and some of them may not be accessible. We can’t fix them, but you can tell the clinic directly.

Report a problem

If something on this site doesn’t work for you, email contactvwellny@gmail.com. It helps if you tell us:

  • the address of the page;
  • what you were trying to do and what went wrong;
  • if you’re happy to share it, the browser and any assistive technology you use.

If you need information from a page in another format, such as plain text by email, ask us and we will send it.

How we respond

We reply within 5 business days. We will tell you what we plan to do and when, and let you know when the problem is fixed.
